How to join Art Take Part

Do you belong to a local arts group? Are you an artist who offers workshops or classes? Do you want more people to join you as you sing, dance, dramatise, knit, photograph, drum, paint or craft?

Updated: 09/07/2014

Art take Part have tried to make it as easy as possible for all the talented people who offer arts activities to tell the public what they do, where they do it and most importantly how we can all get involved.

Art Take Part Group profiles offer you the opportunity to describe what you do and allow you to edit your details yourself. Take a look at two of our current groups; Armagh Ryhmers and Trisha McNally as examples.

Becoming an Art Take Part group is very easy

Click on Upload Group - available at the bottom of every Art Take Part page.

Click on register a new group and enter your email address and a password.

Complete the form and press send.

Once you’ve uploaded as a group a member of the Art Take Part team will be in touch to tell you when your entry is live (usually 2-3 days). We will offer you the opportunity to edit your entry, add a photo and welcome you to Art Take Part. You can contact a member of the team at if you have any questions.

You can also add your details to our Arts Activity Listings

Art Take Part Activity Listings provide contact details and brief information about the arts workshops and classes available in many venues across Northern Ireland. These listings are updated automatically every week. Your workshop or class may already be listed if it appears in an arts centre programme or on your host venue website, so please check this first.

If it isn’t listed and you would like to have your workshops and classes added then you can find out how to do just that by following our tutorial for adding events to Art Take Part's listings.

Things to remember when submitting your information

The contact details you submit will be public. If you use a private address you don’t have to fill in everything on your group entry – Area and County are the important bits.

The Arts category you choose for your group will define where you are listed. Try a couple of searches to see how other groups define themselves. Group results are always listed on the right hand side of the page.

We feature some group and activity listings and make them more prominent on the website. If you would like your group or activity featured you must send us a jpg image.
