Win a signed copy of the debut children's novel by Claire Savage, inspired by the myths and landscape of the North Coast

A fantasy novel for 9-12 year-olds, Magical Masquerade is described by author and playwright, Carlo Gébler, as ‘a rich, dream-like story full of adventure and phantasmagorical creatures.’

In the author's words, 'it tells the story of Felicity Stone – a ten-and-three-quarter year-old girl who’s whisked away to the Fairy Realm - a world which mirrors her own, but is full of magic, mystery and secrets. Faced with two quests, Felicity must stop the enchanted pebble thieves causing mayhem in the realm and solve three riddles, or she’ll be trapped there forever.'

The book will be launched at the Crescent Arts Centre on June 17 as part of this year's Belfast Book Festival. Click here to read about some of the other children's novels which captured Claire's imagination as a young reader.

Claire is a copywriter, journalist and author who also writes short stories and poetry. In 2014 she received a National Lottery grant from the Arts Council NI as part of their Support for Individual Artists Programme.
