Break the Cycle
Trailer release for new Irish mountain biking film
Mountain biking - it's not a sport for the faint hearted, and certainly not everybody's cup of tea. But if you've stared longingly at the khaki-clad figures careering down a hillside near you - their visors down as they risk life and limb for another daring jump - and wondered what life looks like from the seat of a top mountain biker, now is your chance to find out.
Andy Yoong and Sharon Kennedy from Northern Ireland Production Company Honcho Designs have just announced the trailer release for a new Irish downhill mountain bike film, Break the Cycle.
As well as showcasing some of the most amazing Irish landscapes, Break the Cycle provides a no-holds barred look into the lives of ten of the top Irish riders - men and women who have managed to break the cycle of everyday life and its irritating routines, through their passion for riding their bikes.
Riders featured in the film include current Irish downhill champion Colin Ross, Redbull Rampage and Masters world champion podium rider Glyn O'Brien, Women's Masters world championships silver medalist Meave Baxter, Irish pro Ben Reid, Irish team members Dan and Gerard Wolfe, 021 Racing riders Tom Power and Greg O'Keefe, and up and coming riders Jamie McCullough, and Ewan Doherty.
Mountain biking videos are not complete without some high octane music and Break the Cycle doesn't dissappoint, with tunes from top Irish bands including The Frames and Joe Echo.
Due for release in Spring 2009, Break the Cycle already has this great trailer and an excellent website - www.breakthecyclefilm.com - fully loaded with rider profiles, music links, and behind the scene action clips.
