Guitar Gods Smile on the Nerve Centre

Derry venue welcomes Eric Bell and Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal for exclusive pair of masterclasses this month

Guitar-lovers across the North West will be flocking to the Nerve Centre this month for a rare series of intimate workshops with two of the world's greatest guitarists.

Founding Thin Lizzy member and solo artist Eric Bell is first up with an one-off music masterclass on Saturday, September 5. Arguably best recognised for the iconic intro to 'Whiskey in the Jar', Bell's illustrious career spans over 40 years.

Aspiring musicians can expect to learn tips and tricks of the trade from the guitarist's time in the industry interspersed with demonstration showcasing his truly unique ability.

Hot on Bell's heels is Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal the following Saturday (September 12), enthralling audiences with his signature hair-raising guitar solos, while offering fans and budding musicians the opportunity to ask questions and help further develop their talent.

'It's very spontaneous, it's fun, it's a lot of back-and-forth with the audience' he says of the guitar clinic format. 'It’s an event, a whole day of hanging out and having a good time together.'

The accomplished musician is best known as being the lead guitarist in Guns’n’Roses between 2006 and 2014, though he has been performing since the age of 13 in various bands and venues. This undeniable talent has seen Thal release over ten albums, a live DVD and headline numerous international tours and festivals.

Limited tickets for both Eric Bell and Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal are available to book from the Nerve Centre box office and online.
