Titanic Fanzone for Euro 2016

Ten thousand capacity venue screening this summer's soccer internationals will create a 'festival of football' for those not in France

Following hot on the heels of its latest line-up additions, Belsonic has announced news of an open air arena set to broadcast all Irish Euro 2016 group games live from Titanic Belfast this June.

Presented with support from the Irish Football Association, Titanic Belfast, Cool FM and Belfast Live, the 10,000 capacity venue will offer a 'festival of football' for supporters of both the Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland teams, and be 'the next best thing' to being in France for the tournament itself.

With Michael O'Neill's side having made history by qualifying for the country's first competition in thirty years, and the Republic hoping to repeat the magic of an astonishing upset over world champions Germany, both squads' will be able to be cheered on from 'the biggest screen in the country'.

The arena will also have full bar facilities, food options and a funfair plus pre and post-match entertainment.

Northern Ireland manager Michael O'Neill said: 'The support during qualification was incredible and a big part of us getting to the finals in the first place. We’re grateful so many are making the trip to France, but anyone watching the games back in Northern Ireland has a crucial role to play as well.

'The idea of thousands of Northern Ireland fans gathering at the Euros Fanzone at Titanic back in Belfast will be another huge motivation for the players. Having visited the Fanzone site and spoken to the guys running it, I’m certain it’ll be the next best thing to actually being out there with us.'

Entry on all days is free and the fun begins with Northern Ireland’s opening game against Poland on Sunday, June 12. See below the full list of fixtures set to be screened. For more updates follow Euro Fanzone Belfast on Facebook.
