Dream Doctor Who Prosthetics Placement for Cookstown Student
Student makeup artist will train with BAFTA Award-winning expert Neill Gorton after submitting work to Titanic Creative Management SFX competition
One lucky makeup artist has been given the chance of a lifetime to train with multiple award-winning Doctor Who makeup artist Neill Gorton courtesy of Movie House Cinemas at the Titanic Creative Management studios in Belfast.
Tony Campbell, from Cookstown, won the competition by submitting a photo of his best special effects work in an online competition that reached over 700,000 people worldwide.
BAFTA Award-winning makeup artist Neill Gorton is known for his work not only on Doctor Who, but also on Children of Men, Saving Private Ryan and many other major film and television productions.
The prize of the course place twas kindly sponsored by Movie House Cinemas, who have also partnered with Titanic Creative Management to deliver other outreach projects in the future.
'Winning this competition is a fantastically unique chance to further my learning with the very best in the industry and pursue my dreams of working in film & television,' said Tony. 'Without Titanic Creative Management and Movie House Cinemas’ wonderful opportunity, something like this would never have been possible.'
