Designer who has won worldwide recognition for stylish Irish textiles
Tim Roberts graduated from the University of Ulster, Coleraine, and is now based in Holywood, Co Down. He produces accessories and garments made from wools, often featuring brightly coloured checks, for the home market.
He also produces fabric for an export market of haute couture designers such as Versace, Pierre Cardin and Madame Rochas.
Roberts began production of his handwoven fabrics under the label Little Patrick Street in 1989. He uses wools, mohair, cashmere, and linens exclusively available in Ireland, Scotland and Italy. Little Patrick Street has gained worldwide recognition for its stylish and versatile, bright, bold and innovative approach to Irish textiles.
