Have your footage of Northern Ireland featured in new tourism ad
Discover NI want budding filmmakers and photographers to be part of its latest campaign by capturing what they love most about the country

Whether it's on a phone or a drone, anyone with access to a camera has the opportunity to be part of Discover Northern Ireland's newest tourism campaign by capturing the places and experiences they love most across the country.
With the continued and rapid growth of social media, video content and, of course, Northern Ireland’s filmmaking industry, budding filmmakers, amateur photographers and rookie cameramen and women can all submit footage to be featured in a new promotional film.
Following Belfast and the Causeway Coastal Route’s title as the ‘world’s best region to visit in 2018’ by Lonely Planet, the campaign launched by Discover NI aims to engage with the public to help promote all of Northern Ireland’s most loved spots.
The digital ad, which will be shared with a global online audience, is set to feature all the areas and activities that epitomise Northern Ireland and make it an attractive place to visit, giving viewers a taste of what they can expect to experience here.
Discover NI is collecting entries via a mobile app called Seenit, which allows contributors to easily upload footage they wish to see featured in the ad.
Explaining the idea behind the campaign, Sarah Sneddon from Discover NI’s Digital Unit said: 'We are so proud that Belfast and the Causeway Coast was awarded this prestigious accolade and we look forward to welcoming more people to the region than ever before, but we know that there are so many more places in Northern Ireland that deserve the spotlight too,” she said.
'The aim of the campaign is to showcase all that Northern Ireland has to offer, and who better to show it off than the people who know it best! We are calling on everyone across Northern Ireland who has access to a phone, a camera, GoPro, drone - anything they can film on - to take part.
Sneddon added: 'If you have a favourite place, view, trail or activity anywhere across Northern Ireland, then let us see it. We are welcoming entries from all towns, cities and counties as we want to create a true sense of the spirit of Northern Ireland. Sharing your video or images using Seenit couldn't be easier - just download the app, join the ‘DiscoverNI’ project and get uploading.
