Ground Wants Your Coffee Shots
Unique initiative invites photographers to capture their caffeinated moments for the chance to win a weekend in New York and a host of other 'perks'
One of Northern Ireland's leading coffee chains is helping aspiring photographers focus their efforts with a new campaign aiming to capture the country's love for a freshly brewed beverage.
Ground Espressions is a unique initiative inviting fans of Ground Espresso Bars to submit themed stills for inclusion in a beautifully bound coffee table book, which will be sold and all proceeds given to the Ground Honduras Project. The Project has already helped transform the area where one of the chain's suppliers is based, financing permanent educational and community resources.
This campaign aims to collate a body of shots ranging from Ground's signature hot drinks, to moments and memories shared at any of its 18 locations across Ireland and even quirky snaps of its products being enjoyed at landmarks across Northern Ireland. The initiative welcomes participants at all levels of photography from smartphone users to professional shutterbugs.
Co-founder of Ground Espresso Bars, Darren Gardiner said: 'Ground Espresso Bars is located in the heart of communities across NI and this campaign gives people the chance to show us their perception of what Ground means to them.
No filter: The onset of coffee addiction starts earlier in some more than others
'Our social media engagement activities sees hundreds of people tweeting, Instagraming and sharing their visits to Ground each year, and we love being able to see Ground through their eyes. The intense interactivity of our supporters, coupled with the rising coffee culture of 'snap before you sip', means we’re sure to get some fantastic and unique entries.'
As a thank you for 15 years of support the initiative will shortlist 12 runner-ups who will be announced in August, with each receiving a a premium prize package of treats including a £100 Ground gift card, brew-at-home coffee kits, and some bespoke branded products.
In addition to this, the overall winner will receive a complimentary weekend break in New York City with flights and accommodation inclusive. All winners will also have their submissions included in the chain's first coffee table book, which will be available for sale to the public at the end of year. Participants have until July 31 to enter.
