The Libraries, Museums and Archives of NI
An introduction to the major museums, libraries and archives of Northern Ireland
Across Northern Ireland, a number of major libraries, museums and archives offer a wide range of information sources to local and visiting researchers. Subjects covered include genealogy, local history, politics, emigration and literature. Opening times and fuller details of holdings, collections and exhibitions should be confirmed with individual institutions.
MAGNI, the National Museums and Galleries of Northern Ireland, was established in 1998, bringing together the Ulster Museum, the Armagh Museum, the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum, and the Ulster American Folk Park, as well as W5 at the Odyssey Centre in Belfast.
