The Ulster Folk and Transport Museum

One of Ireland’s foremost visitor attractions

The Ulster Folk and Transport Museum illustrates the way of life and traditions of the people of the north of Ireland.

The award winning galleries of the Transport Museum display Ireland’s most comprehensive transport collections, from horse drawn carts to Irish built motor cars, as well as steam locomotives and exhibits relating to the history of the local ship and aircraft industries.

The Ulster Folk and Transport Museum holds material of national and international importance including reconstructed buildings, artefacts, recordings, photographs, films, books and documents, some of which are on open display in the museum and its grounds.

As well as the museum's own publications and recordings, the archival collections include valuable documents and publications, sound, still and moving image archives, an Ulster dialect and linguistic diversity archive, and the BBC Northern Ireland archive.
