FFWDNI Live Music Business Summit

Live music seminar including keynotes, presentations and panels

Registration for FFWDNI Live Music Business Summit is now open. The event at Belfast's Black Box, will look at the state of the live music sector including keynotes, presentations and panels with a range of speakers who specialise in the business of live music and who will provide those attending with a wealth of relevant opinions on the state of the live music sector.

The keynote speech will be delivered by leading London based promoter Paul Charles of Asgard, whose career spans over 4 decades and who represents artists including Tom Waits, Iris Dement, Jackson Browne, Ray Davies, Blue Nile, Ry Cooder, Steve and Justin Earle.

Joe Dougan - Belsonic

Michael Roe of independent Irish record label Richter Collective and Dublin band Adebisi Shank will be making a presentation on the live venue as a marketplace for physical sales (“venues are the new record shops”). Alan Lynn, tour manager and drummer in Lafaro - one of Northern Ireland’s hardest-working and most exciting live bands - will present an AV presentation on the band’s most important 10 concerts of 2010.

The event at the Black Box, Hill Street, Belfast on February 15 at 2.00pm - 5.30pm will offer the opportunity to present your music to ‘The Live Music Business Summit’ panelists. Places at this free of charge event are limited and strong demand is expected. To register, email skills@ffwdni.com.
