No Alibis Presents

Watch acoustic performances in the Botanic Avenue bookstore by some of Northern Ireland's most exciting artists

No Alibis is Northern Ireland's only specialist crime bookstore. Based on Botanic Avenue, in the centre of Belfast, it is also a unique venue for live music performance. And with gigs regularly selling out fast, No Alibis owner David Torrans has enlisted the help of film-maker Paul McParland to record those gigs and present them on NoAlibisTV.

'One of the tricky things about the current climate is that it's getting difficult to sell books in the traditional fashion,' said Torrans. 'Thankfully, there are many fantastically talented musicians in our great city to help support an independent bookstore like No Alibis. We're very proud to be part of the music scene here in Belfast, and welcome artists both local and international as regularly as we possibly can.'

In the first of our new No Alibis Presents video series, watch three performances recorded in the bookstore by Northern Irish artists Cat Malojian, Ruby Colley and Anthony Toner. Check out NoAlibisTV for all other recent performances, and No Alibis for information on forthcoming book readings and gigs.
