Classic rock and new kids on the block, all in the countryside
A music festival taking place on a farm in Lisburn, will be taken over for 3 days later this month by over 30 great Northern Irish bands.
The lineup playing Tubby's Farm includes a fantastic spectrum of artists, with some of the prospective highlights including acts such as Pocket Billiards, Strait Laces, Mojofury, Silhouette, Rams Pocket Radio, Clown Parlour and Phoenix Fire.
The recently reformed rockers Ashanti return once more to the stage and Sweet Savage are also touted to play a special set, joining the likes of Swanee River, Pay*ola, Nasa Assassin, Bandwagon and Indigo Fury, also on the classic rock tip.
Sunflowerfest will also be showcasing some fine acoustic acts, including Naoimh O’Hagan, Aaron Shanley and Malaika, making the diversity of the artists involved quite a coup for the festival on a real working farm!
All the proceeds from the festival, including a compilation CD featuring acts playing, are being donated to registered charity to help ongoing work to rebuild Haiti after the disaster.
Sunflowerfest takes place at Tubby's Farm, 31 Cabra Road, Legacurry, Hillsborough, from 20 - 22 August, with single/weekend/family tickets available from Ticketmaster.co.uk. For more information please go to the official website at www.sunflowerfest.co.uk or visit the Sunflowerfest Facebook.
