Tourist Walk Do Ghent: Watch Video

The Kearney brothers from Warrenpoint like to play music in public for fun. Watch video of performances in Belfast and Derry~Londonderry

As Tourist Walk, Mike, Oisín, Dónal and Breandán Kearney like to play music in interesting locations, like tourists, on a walk.

So says their website, which goes on to describe Tourist Walk as 'a cross-discipline art project, which seeks to explore and celebrate the unique character of location through live music'.

Having performed as Tourist Walk in their native Warrenpoint, as well in Belfast, Derry~Londonderry, Donegal, Cambridge and Edinburgh, the Kearney collective are tuning up for their next outdoor performance, in Ghent, Belgium, on from July 21 – 25.

For those not lucky enough to catch their Flemish shows during one very busy day next week, the brothers Kearney have cunningly captured their previous performances on video, with the help of like-minded filmmakers from the cities in which they perform.

Check out videos of their Belfast and Derry~Londonderry performances above and below, where they play original compositions and covers in close harmony outside Titanic Belfast, on the Peace Bridge, in Bedlam Market, and elsewhere, and follow their progress in Ghent via their Twitter account.
