Volume Control Free All-Ages Gig

Teenagers are doing it for themselves at Volume Control - and for free

Volume Control raised £540 towards the 'Belfast 4 Haiti' appeal at their most successful gig to date. Now the teenage team behind Belfast's newest all-age live music events have announced that their next gig, on March 19 in Belfast's Oh Yeah Centre, will be free, in association with BBC Blast who will be streaming the event live on the internet across the UK.

Volume Control is led by 16-year-old Belfast promoter, Ryan McCann, who, along with his enthusiastic young staff, wants to fill a gap in the market and organise events for teens. Along the way, the team are learning about promotions, marketing, media relations, poster design, stage production, event management and project financing.

The free event will feature some of Northern Ireland’s most promising new bands; ATL Rock School 2008 winners The Good Fight; Derry four-piece Scruff; and Belfast's Key of Atlas.

Volume Control is on March 19, at the Oh Yeah Music Centre,15-21 Gordon Street, Belfast. Admission is by ticket only. To obtain your ticket email volume-control@hotmail.co.uk and quote 'I heart VC, Friday 19th March tickets'. Numbers are limited and one ticket is allocated per email address.
