Derry~Londonderry welcomes a host of stand-up comedians to venues across the city over Easter weekend

Some of Ireland’s best comedians will descend on Derry~Londonderry over Easter weekend as part of the Féile Laughs Comedy Festival, which takes place in venues in the Bogside, Brandywell and Creggan areas from March 29 to April 1, 2013.

Tim McGarry, Kevin McAleer, Micky Bartlett (from BBC’s Monumental) and Colin Geddis (I Am Fighter) are some of the names taking part in Féile Laughs, which is part of the Gasyard Wall Féile’s cultural programme for 2013, in partnership with Culture Company 2013.

Gasyard Wall Féile is a cultural festival organised by community members from Derry~Londonderry's Bogside and Brandywell areas, and this year celebrates its 20th anniversary.

Complimenting the special guests, a range of local comedians will also be performing, and for children and families there will be a special Mad Hatters Tea Party in the Gasyard Centre, which opens the festival on Friday, March 29 at 12pm.

Later on in the evening the Féile Laughs Comedy Open Mic night will be hosted by comedy sensation, Micky Bartlett, who has been garnering headlines as the host of BBC Northern Ireland's newest comedy series, Monumental.
