George Robb

Previous official photographer of the Engine Room Gallery.

George Robb took up photography in the early 1980s, and attended the Belfast Institute of Higher and further Education in mid 1990s where he was taught by the renowned photographer, Paul Seawright.

Robb has exhibited his work locally from the early 90s, and was the official photographer for the Engine Room Gallery between 1997 and 2000. He was a founder member of Photo Works North and has been a member of Creative Exchange for the past three years. He has also recently been recruited onto the board of the Engine Room Gallery in east Belfast.

His exhibition The Other Place—The Transitional Space of Memory and Identity, in association with the Creative Exchange and Greengrass Bluegrass Newgrass project, was displayed at Queen’s University, Belfast, in November 4, 2004.
