Californian artist David Best's awe-inspiring Temple structure opened to the public this weekend, with thousands flocking to Bards Hill in Derry to 'leave a memory behind, let go of the past and look to the future'.
The intricate wooden sculpture was funded through public donations via an online Kickstarter campaign, and partly designed by unskilled volunteers at the Nerve Centre's FabLab.
Produced by outdoor arts company Artichoke, Temple is free to visit until March 21, when it will be burnt to the ground. Tickets to attend the burn ceremony are available from the Millennium Forum website.
