Festival of Voice 2015

The 5th annual Festival of Voice returns to Glenarm for a celebration of classical singing

Festival Details

Friday, 28 August 2015 to Sunday, 30 August 2015

An annual celebration of classical singing, the Festival of Voice, returns to the historic village of Glenarm for the fifth year at the end of August. As with previous years, the Festival combines public recitals with tuition and masterclasses for five of the most promising young Irish singers, who then compete in a Gala Final for the title of Northern Ireland Opera Voice of 2015.

This year’s programme features a Friday night recital given by the winner of last year’s competition, Seán Boylan from Co. Meath, and a Saturday night recital given by internationally-acclaimed Belfast soprano Giselle Allen, who sang the title role in the February production of Salome, with pianist Iain Burnside.

The Gala Final will take place on Sunday evening hosted by Sean Rafferty and details of the competitors and the jury will be announced soon.
