The North West's biggest festival of LGBT culture returns with six days bursting with colourful events from August 22 - 28
2016 sees the 22nd year of Foyle Pride, with the festival continuing to represent the LGBT community in Derry~Londonderry with another mammoth programme of celebratory events.
This year looks to be bigger and as colourful as ever. Thousands will take part in the week-long festival, which both celebrates the gains of LGB&T communities globally, as well as tackles the inequality that still exists here and abroad. Highlights this year include the first ever queer Comic-con, an evening dedicated to marriage equality, a football vs. homophobia tournament, performance by American DJ JD Samson of Le Tigre and MEN, and an LGBT inclusive non-denominational Sunday service.
As always, the week culminates in the Pride Parade on Saturday 27 August, a perfect day out for the whole family. Foyle Pride remains unique in that it is committed to keeping the festival non-commercial adding to the community and family friendly orientation and keeping the focus on the march towards equality for LGBT people. Each day of the week is chock-full of events covering a variety of different interests, themes and ages. View full programme of events below:
