Contemporary and traditional gifts handmade by 40 different artists and designers go on display at the historic Derry building

Derry City and Strabane District Council are offering the public the opportunity to sample and buy some of the finest bespoke craft items from across the island of Ireland when the annual Guildhall Craft Fair returns later this month.

Running from November 11 - 13, 40 artists, designers and craftspeople will exhibit at the event which has been running for the last 22 years and forms part of a packed Christmas programme from Council.       

A wide range of both contemporary and traditional gifts will be showcased including ceramics, textiles, knitwear, wood, glass, prints and some artisan food products.

A total of 40 crafters will take part in the fair, including 9 new exhibitors who will be selling their products there for the first time. A live music programme will help get visitors into the festive spirit as they take a break for some coffee and cake at the Craft Fair Coffee Shop set up by Café Guild in the Main Hall.

Parents with little ones will also be delighted to know that Christmas Craft Workshops will run free of charge from 12pm until 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

The Craft Fair will begin on Friday November 11 beginning at 2.00pm until 8.00pm, Saturday from 2.30pm until 6.00pm and Sunday from 11.30am until 6.00pm.
