Politics in Northern Ireland is one of those areas which is avoided or fully engaged with. Imagine! Belfast are back for another year with their Festival of Ideas and Politics, inviting those that with to engage with their vastly expansive programme of talks, conferences, exhibitions, tours and much more, as the debates starts and the discussions begin to happen.

'Relax – we’re not affiliated to any political party and relatively non-partisan! What we aim to do is encourage participation from people not normally involved in political debate and stimulate a discussion on new ideas and activism.' Taling place over March 14th to 20th, Imagine! Belfast will take over a numbero of spaces to stir up political debates, current problems and issues within Northern Ireland, a look back at history, as well as hosting comedy nights, exhibitions on certain areas and more. Topics include 'Making Sense of Election', 'The Impact of Brexit on Northern Ireland' and 'The Legacy Of St Patrick'.

Events will take place across numerous venues in Belfast such as Queen's University Belfast, Stranmillis University, the Black Box, the MAC and many other locations. You can find out more on the festival here with full listings, prices and times.
