International Festival of Chamber Music 2017
Belfast Music Society is playing host to the International Festival of Chamber Music with a number of star-studded musicians performing

Belfast Music Society has confirmed that this coming Ferburary, it will play host to the International Festival of Chamber Music 2017 and the confirmed events for the festival are already looking great. Taking place from February 23rd to February 26th, the event is being run in association with Queens University Belfast as well as a number of other organisations.
On the first night, the festival will play host to the talented Chamber Choir of Ireland who will perform at St Thomas's Parish Church on Eglantine Avenue, where a number of songs will be performed. Following on from this will be a recital by the Queen's University's students of Creative Arts, with a number of post-graduate and final year students performing.
Vikingur Olafsson will also showcase his talents and skills on the piano within the Great Hall at Queens University Belfast, with the musician being hailed for his flair which he brings to his performances, some stating that he cannot be matched. Also included in the programme for the event are Richard Douglas and Darren Baird, who have curated an event titled 'Chamber Babies', aimed at those under the age of 18 months, for their parents to bring them along and be enchanted by the music. More events from Mahan Esfahani, Trio Gaspard and Brodsky String Quartet are also included within the programme for the International Festival of Chamber Music 2017.
