John Hewitt International Summer School
The annual festival returns for its 28th year for a literary celebration of visual art, music and theatre

The John Hewitt International Summer School is a five-day festival of culture and creativity which takes place in the last week of July every year in The Market Place Theatre & Arts Centre, Armagh. This year's Summer School will take place Monday 27th July - Friday 31st July 2015.
Now in its 28th year, the John Hewitt International Summer School programme includes readings from Tess Gallagher, Bernard O’Donoghue, Yasmin Alibhi-Brown and Ian Sansom.
The programme also includes creative writing workshops with Mary O’Donnell, Daragh Carville and Siobhan Campbell,
2015 introduces After Hours, a free series of late-night informal events featuring The Squat Pen, The Lifeboat & Purely Poetry.
Supported by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon District Council, the Community Relations Council, and Andras House. The annual programme features readings, talks, discussions and debates as well as celebrating visual art, music and theatre.
