KiteTanica is the first annual kite festival to be held in Belfast and in 2015 will take place as part of the Lughnasa International Friel Festival.

Taking place in Titanic Quarter on Saturday 29 August, the one-day festival will run from midday to 6pm and is free to all members of the public.

KiteTanica will feature some of the biggest kites in the world from Tug Kites in Scotland to demonstrations of Indian Fight Kites, dancing kites from the Fusion Rev team and juggling kites. There will be free workshops where you can build and decorate your own kite and then fly alongside the professionals.

Those attending the festival are invited to bring their own kites or alternatively they can buy the festival's 'Lughnasa' kites on arrival. Along with food traders and other entertainment it promises to be a wonderful day out for all the family.
