Shelter NI is hosting a threee-day film festival which is a part of Homelessness Awareness Week. Homelessness Awareness Week (HAW) is an annual week of social, educational and awareness raising events organised across the country to highlight the issue of homelessness, and to mark the continued efforts of organisations, staff, and service users working in the sector.

The films, screened at Belfast Film Festival's Beanbag Cinema, are as follows:

Hector (15) - December 1, 7.15pm

Hector McAdam is embarking on his annual journey from Scotland to a warm refuge in London, where comrades, Christmas cheer and a turkey dinner await him.

Welcome (15) - December 2, 7.15pm

Bilal, a 17-year-old Kurdish boy, has travelled through Middle East and Europe to join his girlfriend, freshly immigrated to England. But, his journey comes to an abrupt end when he is stopped on the French side of the Channel.

The Lovers on the Bridge (18), 7.45pm

In this romantic French drama, two homeless people living on the Pont-Neuf Bridge in Paris struggle to survive and somehow manage to fall in love.
